About The Event
WBG Member Katina Fontes, Owner of Athina Books, warmly welcomes us to her used and antiquarian book store located in the heart of Sudbury. Together with Past President and author Betsy Millane, they've prepared a must-attend book reading featuring "Sixty Blades of Grass".
About the Book:
"Sixty Blades of Grass by Elizabeth Millane is a historical fiction novel based on the author's family history, set in Nazi-occupied Holland during WWII, following a young Dutch resistance fighter named Rika who uses her art to pass information while navigating the dangers of betrayal, including suspicions about her own father, who is also leading a double life. The book explores themes of courage, love, and survival, detailing the secret war against the Nazis and the personal risks involved, with an action-filled plot that moves from Amsterdam to the death camps."
